Building Toward the Future: 2023 in Review

2023 was another busy year for the Projects and Development Team here at 201. From existing tenant expansions, tenant relocations, and new tenant arrivals, there was lots of construction to keep everyone busy.

The last few years have seen significant upgrades to 201 Portage, with the lobby, courtyard, and new gym spaces being developed and improved for all our tenants to enjoy. This year, we have focused on energy improvements and ensuring 201 stays ahead of the curve with new technology and energy management. We’ve been replacing our base building light fixtures with new LED fixtures and creating a “smart building” lighting network for better control over our energy usage. There are also several HVAC systems we are in the process of updating for increased tenant comfort and better energy management for all our tenant’s benefit.

In 2024, we will continue to focus on reducing our greenhouse gas emissions and improving our energy efficiency within the building. We are also looking forward to putting the finishing touches on our new bike cage in the Parkade with exclusive tenant access.

We are committed to creating a sustainable future for the entire 201 community and look forward to continuing our efforts to improve the building in every way possible.
