The 2018 Manitoba Race to Reduce final results are in!

Manitoba Race to Reduce challenges commercial building landlords and tenants to publicly commit to working together to reduce their collective energy use.  After two years, participating buildings of the Race have saved 6,223,833 kWh of electricity and 149,028 m3 of natural gas for a total energy reduction of 2.1% since the race began.  201 Portage alone reduced greenhouse gas emissions in 2018 equivalent to approximately 42 cars off the road for one year, not burning 83,801 L of gasoline or not harvesting 21,544 trees.  While this is a great start, we still have much to do in order to reach the overall goal of a 10% reduction in energy consumption.
