201 Portage Plaza Project Progress Report

Work on the 201 Portage Plaza Project is chugging along as we continue our work to provide tenants and the public with a gorgeous place to relax, have a bite to eat, and gather as a community!

Concrete planters have been poured, the advanced drainage water storage system has been installed, the temporary roof structure has been removed and we’re now preparing for final waterproofing and the installation of the state-of-the-art skylight!

All of the components for this stunning glass bridge are here in Winnipeg and the 3-week installation process is scheduled to commence Wednesday, August 31st. This critical step in the project will begin with the structural steel installation, followed by the non-structural frames, and finally – the installation of the glass panels. Each panel will take approximately one day to be secured in place, so keep an eye on the process as these gorgeous panels are installed!

Anyone with a bird’s-eye view will also see a lot of concrete pours coming soon as we make our way towards the finished Plaza. We’re thrilled to see the progress as we create this new amenity for our building occupants. We are not far from the finish line, and we can’t wait to show off downtown Winnipeg’s newest community space once work is complete!
